Darren Julien selling Michael Jackson’s “likeness” via printed scrims

Darren mentions in an interview that they never take part in selling items in their auctions… in fact stating its a conflict of interest!  The Estate claims nobody can use Michael’s images/likeness to make money.  We’ve learned by watching items sold in the past, that if the Estate gets a “piece of the pie”, they tend to turn their heads and look the other way.

In 2009 Michael fought Darren Julien to get his own possessions back from a deal his manager made on his behalf, without his permission.  While we don’t have the actual terms they worked out (Michael settled with Juliens before the court hearing) we know that Michael allowed Darren Julien to exhibit his belongings.  In the exhibits, there were scrims made for the walls as backdrops.

Now go back to paragraph #1 and re-read the first two sentences.
